Architectural Stone
Riverstone — phyllite from Argentina. Wall cladding, flooring, stairs, worktops, sills, pools.
Riverstone architectural stone is the diamond of the architectural stone world. This material — phyllite — is harder, denser and stronger than slate. Suitable for wall cladding, flooring, stairs, worktops, copings, swimming pools and sills.
Phyllite is a rare rock worldwide. SSQ offers a high-quality variant from the San Luis quarry in La Repressa, Argentina, with geological reserves dating 560 million years to the pre-Cambrian era.
The material has been used in prestigious projects including The Four Seasons (New York), Hilton (Helsinki), Mira Hotel (Hong Kong), Grand Lisboa Casino (China), Topography of Terror Museum (Berlin) and Blenheim Palace (Oxfordshire).
